Dual Certification Process Effective Dates

Effective December 22, 2001 the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Child Support Enforcement (CSE) is responsible for certification of child support records on all payments made after December 21, 2001.

HHS Judgment Responsibilities:

  • Certification of Arrears
  • Provide Copies of pay records
  • Testify to the payment process (a subpoena is necessary)
  • Child Support
  • Spousal Support or Maintenance (When ordered in conjunction with a child support order)
  • Medical Support
  • Genetic Testing
  • Medical Reimbursement
  • Grant Reimbursement
  • It Should Be Noted That In Nebraska There Is A Dual Certification Process

The Clerk of the District Court retains responsibility for records prior to December 22, 2001 and for judgments not listed in the table shown above. Information available at the Clerk of the District Court Office in the Nebraska county where case is located.
